TV show/book/film/writer/actor fandoms...love interest style!
Never done this before, because half the questions I can't really answer. Have come to the conclusion this is one of those memes that you just pick whatever comes to mind first, don't think to hard about it, and move on. At least for me. And the way I read the meme, it's basically taking your culturally obsessions or fading obsessions and analogizing them to romantic relationships.
1. The one who seduced you, screwed you over, broke your heart in a million pieces, and laughed about it.
Buffy and Star Wars
2. The old flame you don't see very often any more but whom you still really enjoy getting together with for a few drinks and maybe a pleasant nostalgic romp
Buffy (tv series), Harry Potter
3. The mysterious dark one whom you used to sit up with talking until 3 AM at weird coffee houses and with whom you were quite smitten until you realized s/he really was fucking crazy.
Caprica or Dollhouse
4.The one you spent a whole weekend in bed with and who drank up all your liquor and whom you'd still really like to get with again, although you're relieved s/he doesn't actually live in town (unfortunately they both do live in town and I give in to them all the time...)
General Hospital, Supernatural, True Blood, and Vamp Diaries that guilty pleasure of mine is like a dirty little secret! (There's nothing like really good pulp!)
5. The steady
(this one is hard because up until two years ago - it would have been Buffy.) So now? Don't know. Going with books or novelists - Jim Butcher - Dresden Files, and Kim Harrison - Rachel Morgan. Also Spike.
6. The alluring stranger whom you've flirted with at parties but have never gotten really serious with
Sarah Connor: The Terminator Chronicles, Life on Mars, Angel, and Lost
7. The one you hang out with and have vague fantasies about maybe having a thing with, but ultimately you're just good buddies
Doctor Who
8. The one your friends keep introducing you to and who seems like a hell of a cool person except it's never really gone anywhere
The X-Files, Community, The Office, 30 Rock, Damages, Breaking Bad, Fringe, Warehouse 13, Star Gate, Highlander, and DS9
9. The one who's slept with all your friends, and you keep looking at them and thinking, "How the hell did they land all these cool people?"
Bones and The Buffy Comics
10. The one who gave you the best damned summer of your life and against whom you measure all other potential partners:
Farscape and The Wire
11. The one you recently met at a party and would like to get to know better:
Game of Thrones (this could end up being my new hot flame)
12. The old flame that you wouldn't totally object to hooking up with again for a one night romp if only they'd clean up a bit:
Firefly and Veronica Mars, also BattleStar Galatica
Your hot new flame:
The Good Wife
The one who stole your significant other:
Dark Horse comics

Date: 2011-08-21 01:20 am (UTC)Also everyone appears to interpret it VERY differently.
What amuses me the most about it - is my guilty pleasure appears to be the one that I lot of people think - "the one who has slept with all my friends and I can't figure out how it landed all these cool people." LOL!!

Date: 2011-08-21 10:44 pm (UTC)Apparently you are as confused by all "the Fringe" love as I am.
Not sure why you think Doctor Who is crazy...well, except that the new writer (Moffat) likes to tell his stories backwards (which I rather adore, but is admittedly crazy).
And ...everyone on my flist seems to see Supernatural as the slut who seduced their cool friends much to their bewilderment. (LOL!)

Date: 2011-08-21 11:15 pm (UTC)But I originally fell in love with Christopher Eccleston's wonderful alien Doctor Who #9... and then I thought that David Tennant's #10 was a little bit crazy w/falling in love w/Rose but giving her the duplicate.... And Matt Smith's #11 is really very wacky....
It all makes it hard for me to fall in love with the show deeply.
And of course House has gone WAY off the deep end! LOL

Date: 2011-08-22 12:12 am (UTC)no the story didn't get interesting for me until Doctor River Song was introduced.
Agree on House though. It definitely jumped the shark this year.
