1. Betty Crocker: Do not Eat Raw Cookie Dough.
Me: Yeah, right. If Rocky can drink raw eggs, I can eat raw cookie dough.
By the way Betty Crocker makes the best make your own Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies on the planet. And yes, I'm an expert. The best already made/baked Gluten Free Cookies are Tates - amazing. Not sure how good their non-gluten free cookies are.

2. I've been given mixed reviews on Neverland. The Momster liked it - reminds her of Harry Potter or Merlin. Co-worker did not. Any other comments?

3. The Hating Game (it's the name of romantic comedy, believe it or not)- which it turns out is by a Canadian novelist living in London, is rather funny.

Mattie to Bachelor #2: What is your favorite piece of female lingeri for a woman to wear?
Bachelor #2: What is this lingeri? Is it some type of food?

It really is a satire. And unlike the other books I've read quite subversive. Feels like the Devil Wears Prada meets well Bridget Jones on the Dating Game by way of Monty Python. I've come to the conclusion that the Canadians and Brits are better at witty rom-com's than the Americans are. Or at the very least satire. The US does satire - we get Glee and Knocked Up. The Brits do satire - and we get Monty Python and Bridget Jones Diary. Who would you rather sit in a room and chat with John Cleese or Ryan Murphy - or go out on a date with Colin Firth or Seth Rogan? (Personally? John Cleese and Colin Firth. The other two creep me out.)

4. Speaking of Glee...tonight's episode was better, but it was also mostly about sectionals and the musical numbers weren't focused on romantic relationships.
See? Focus on just the dancing and singing - all is well. More music less talking.
Rather liked the tribute to Michael Jackson. Particularly the finale sectionals number - "Man in the Mirror" - which is an incredibly powerful song. As controversial as Michael Jackson was regarding his bizarre personal life, you can't ignore what an amazingly talented artist and performer he was. Not to mention ground-breaking. Incredibly Talented people/entertainers aren't necessarily people I want to know that much about or meet in person. They tend to be train wrecks. Although admittedly, not boring.

Off to read. Have too many shows on the DVR, should be watching them. But...just don't feel like watching tv lately...I don't know why. Outside of The Good Wife and Once Upon a Time - nothing's holding my interest. Very odd. Is it possible I burned myself out? Watched too many tv shows? Nah.

You don't watch enough live tv with

It was advertised a lot...but I also watch OAUT and Good Wife live. ;-)

I do watch a few Live TV shows these days. None on SyFy at the moment. But I tune out commercials like the parastical plague that they are.

They are definitely that. I've been reading, cooking, surfing the net, and occassionally visiting the bathroom during them. Except when a commercial for a tv show or movie catches my eye. The only commericials I tolerate are those..well sometimes.

Wouldn't worry too much, it was on SyFy, they will re-run it. They re-run Tin-Man after it first aired.

Oh Syfy has picked up S4 Merlin and Lost Girl (I think that's the Canadian series everyone was raving about).

[I rarely watch Syfy except for Merlin.)

Am jealous. Relegated to hunting it on Syfy with commercials.

Hey, I figure I pay for SyFy, I'm buying it on DVD, I will pay for all the seasons, twice over. So downloading it off the internet is a minor sin.

I can't download it...not enough room on my computer, and fear of crashing.

But lots of people do, and when it comes to tv shows..eh. I seriously doubt they are losing that much money. Movies? Yes. Books? Definitely.
But tv shows...there's usually ads on the sites..so who cares.

Definitely count me in w/the John Cleese & Colin Firth love!

And I am posting to give you a head's up for something more to record on your DVR: another couple of episodes of 'Louie' on Dec 14th (late Tuesday night at 2 am- 3 am).... even when burnt out on TV there is always room for really funny comedies!

Neverland was pretty good. It made Once Upon A Time look even more tepid. I haven't watched the whole thing, yet but it was imaginative and pretty. I'm looking forward to marathoning both parts with friends.

Don't let me harsh your squee, dear!

I'm watching it, but as with ALL the new shows I've seen this season, it's frustrating me with its slow pacing. Maybe I just shouldn't watch things until they come out on DVD.

Hee. Thanks. Probably a good bet.

Probably worth keeping in mind that Neverland was a "mini-series" or
just four hours, while Once Upon a Time is a 22 episode yearly series.
Pacing isn't even comparable. ;-) TV series can go into a lot more detail and depth on characters, but they also tend to drag more than movies or mini-series. Sort of the difference between reading a short story or a novel.

For a SyFy program it was excellent. Good acting, interesting take on the Peter Pan legend, had some dull passages and the special effects sucked. Not a patch on the recent Jason Isaac's Pan movie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKnI2KPMEjs) but for SyFy it was quite good.

Haven't seen the recent Jason Issac's film, didn't know there was one. Thanks!
