Half-watching Fringe S3...which is comforting because the characters have more stressful and brutal lives than mine, but no real violence. Fringe is the least violent of the procedurals, weird, I know, but there it is. Also, JJ Abrhams and his minions are obsessed with playing with narrative structure...which is sort of interesting. Once Upon a Time is the latest experiment in that...I like Once better by the way, but that's mainly due to mood.

The Good Wife rocked last night. As did Once. Loved them both to pieces. But I can't post on them at length. Not now. Will state that I found both oddly comforting. Particularly the Good Wife, where Alicia wonders what happened to all her friends, she used to have good friends. It's a great commentary on friendship and how fleeting it is. Most friends I've found are rather fair-weather...and somewhat transistory, so does Alicia. She wisely at the end of the episode gravitates towards two women who have her professional and familial interests at heart and away from Will and Eli.

I was very sad to see the Huntsman die. He was really cute.

So was I. I spent half the show...going, please don't kill the huntsman, I know you are going to, but please don't. (Abrhams shows always kill characters I don't want them to kill.)

Okay, this is way off topic, but I just heard that someone is putting together essays on redemption (and stuff) in the Buffy Verse, and they are looking at submissions:

So I was thinking you should brush off some of your essays, put them into PDF formate and send them along by the end of February... because you have written some really interesting/insightful pieces, and it is always cool to get published!

No time. Work hell. And the last time I did that - they hated it - I submitted to slayage - and never got a response. I'm not academic enough. Not sure any of them really deal with redemption.

But thanks.
