Jul. 6th, 2012 11:37 pmThe Runaways is an incredibly boring movie, but a great band. It also reminded me of how much I loved Joan Jett back in the 1980s. So the end result was downloading a bunch of tunes from various Runaways albums, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. The movie would have been better if it had focused on other members more than Cherie Curry, who basically lounged about in a teddy and a doped haze through most of the movie. Personally, I think Joan Jett was more appealing and attractive than Curry. Yes, I know I'm weird.
Granted, I don't tend to like bio-pics that well. Musical bio-pics I like better than most, because at least you get the music. But bio-pics tend to bore me, they either white-wash the characters, tell you to much, or too little. Few are any good. I think the only bio-pics on Rock Legends that had any meat to them were The Buddy Holly Story, Walk The Line, and possibly Ray. Only other bio-pics that have much meat to them are based on political figures or leaders of government such as The Queen or The King's Speech.
