So Glee which continues to get worse and worse as the season progresses has been renewed for two seasons, while Smash which continues to get better as its season progresses, has been unofficially cancelled?

Bewildering. I'll probably stop watching Glee after this season. It's become unwatchable.

For more on what "broadcast network" tv shows are being renewed and what one's are being cancelled to date? Go here:

Pretty much all the flist's favorites are being renewed or are sure bets as far as I can tell.

I stopped caring some time ago. You have no control over it. As long as they finish the story, I'm fine with it. Which they are apparently doing with SMASH - all loose ends will be wrapped up. Or so they've said, we shall see.

It's tv shows that don't conclude and just stop with either a cliff-hanger, or just stop...without us knowing the ending or getting a chance to tell it - that annoy me and make me want to kick the person who cancelled them in the head or better yet, stick them alone in a room with all their favorite shows, but chop off the endings.

It's gotten to the point that I try not to get too fannish about tv shows. You just can't trust the people who distribute them any more.

Although I am not deeply attached to network shows.... I AM attached to quite a few cable shows (I was sad that 'Terriers' was cancelled last year, and I would be sad to hear that 'Justified' was being cancelled!).

I am very fannish about 'Game of Thrones' (and kinda fannish about Dexter, and Doctor Who, but not enough to go to online fan sites) I even bought a "House of Martell' T-shirt. But I don't think HBO is planning to cancel it any time soon.
LOL

Weirdly, I'd only be annoyed right now if OUAT, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, and possibly...The Good Wife got cancelled - because there's definitely more story there.

Justified I think is on its last legs, there's not much more they can tell without rinse and repeat. (You should watch the earlier seasons they were much much better.)

Dexter - also last legs. Wasn't last season it's last?

For me, as long as the story is wrapped up, I don't care. SMASH, which I will miss because there is nothing else like it on tv, is clearly wrapping itself up.

Yeah, I believe S8 is Dexter's last, but they have only run 1/2 of it so far (the rest is supposed to start in June. I'm liking the final season so far, and I'm fine w/it ending (I'm slightly fannish, but not fanatic about it, no websites or t-shirts for this one).

I think Breaking Bad might also be in it's last season? I'm not sure.

Of course I do expect to be very excited about SHIELD this fall on ABC (LOL).
