1. How tall are you?
6' foot.

2. What's the last movie you saw?
In the movie theater? American Hustle - excellent.
On TV? Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing....which was okay. Better than expected (I went in with low expectations, but nothing to write home about.)

4. What were you doing at 12am last night?

5. Are your parents married/divorced?
Married. 48 years and counting.

6. When did you last see your mom?
On December 30 - before I flew back home to NYC, she lives in South Carolina

7. What color are your eyes?
Blue-gray-green, otherwise known as Hazel. I inherited my grandfather's eyes. Everyone else in my immediate family has variations of brown. To me? They appear to be green. But depending on what I wear they fluctuate from blue to gray to green. My coworkers are convinced they are blue.

8. What time did you wake up today?
6:00 am

9. What is your favorite Christmas song?
It's a toss up between Little Drummer Boy, What Child is This, and Wish You a Merry Little Christmas (from Meet You in St. Louis)

amongst trees on a grassy knoll, near water, and mountains in the background or on the promenade overlooking Manhattan, the Brooklyn Bridge, and Statue of Liberty

You mean to visit? Costa Rica, Italy, or New Zealand

11. Do you tan or burn?
Sort of both. I burn, sometimes I tan. Or I burn and it turns to tan. I have olive toned skin.

13. How many TVs do you have in your house?
One. (it's an apartment - there's no room for more than one)

Queen. I'm 6 foot. Queen's the only one that my feet don't end up off the edge of the mattress.

2 (well actually 3...one between legs to ensure I don't flip on my stomach and keep my back in the correct alignment, and two behind my head).

Spring and Fall

Nothing really..Xmas is probably the only highlight

Long days. Sunshine.

Not particularly, no

Pear sprinkled with cinnamon, nutmeg, and lime juice...dipped in almond butter

Peppermint Stick...and it's really hard to find. Jennie's Backyard Mint is close.

Yep.

29. Do you like coffee?
Loved it. Can't drink it - turns me into a crazy person. I have an intolerance to caffeine. Haven't drank coffee in over 20 years.

30. How many glasses of water a day do you drink on average?
6-8

31. What do you drink in the morning?
Water. I often have decafe or herbal tea at work.

32. Do you sleep on a certain side of the bed?
Right side

33. Do you know how to play poker?
Yes, though not well. I keep forgetting the rules

34. Have you ever been to Canada?
Once that I remember - Nova Scotia to see my brother's final art show, and to Cape Breaton.

No. I'm compulsive and occasionally obsessive, but not addictive.

36. Do you eat out or at home more often?
Home (or taking lunch to work FROM home)

37. Do you know anyone with the same birthday as you?
Not personally, no.

38. Do you want kids?
That's almost certainly never going to happen.

39. Do you speak any other languages?
A very small smattering of French. I can still understand some written French - to a degree. Spoken French? A few phrases here and there, and can recognize it. But have never been adept at speaking it, and can't write it any longer.

40. Have you ever gotten stitches?
Yes

41. Have you ever ridden in an ambulance?
Yes - although not as the patient, I rode in one once to comfort a frightened fellow student in college - who I witnessed get hit by a car. We didn't really know each other - weren't friends or anything. But she felt alone and scared and asked if I could come, so I went with her. We had a nice chat. The Assistant Dean of the College was kind enough to give me a lift back.

42. Do you prefer an ocean or a pool?
Pool. I was traumatized by seeing Jaws as a child. (Also, oceans are messy - there's all this wild-life in them.)

43. Do you prefer a window seat or an aisle seat?
I'm 6 foot and 85% of my height is leg. No question -- aisle.

44. Do you know how to drive stick?
Nope. Did have a friend attempt to teach me once - it wasn't pretty. I think I stripped her transmission - which sort of ended that idea.

45. What is your favorite thing to spend money on?
Books, music, DVDs...(regardless of whether I watch, read or listen to them.)

46. Do you wear any jewelry 24/7?
No. And during the day - I only wear earrings. Everything else gets in my way and annoys me.
Used to wear a watch - but haven't found a replacement, so gave up and rely on my phone.

47. What is your favorite TV show?
Cyclical. Lots of faves. Changes regularly. It's obvious from the LJ.

48. Can you roll your tongue?
Yes

49. What red object is closest to you right now?
The arm chair I'm sitting in.

50. Do you turn off the water while you brush your teeth?
Yes. (OR the sink will fill up with gunky water. It's a shallow drain.)

Open (never sure) - they are sliding doors, they don't always close easily.

52. Would you rather be attacked by a big bear or a swarm of bees?
Bees. (More likely to survive, bear will slice you in half. Not survivable.)

No

Quite a few...during college

No.

11:30pm +/-

What Alice Forgot by Liane Morarity - better than expected, but it does meander at times.

Sometimes. But not lately...

Entertainment Weekly -guilty pleasure

Yes - General Hospital...discuss it with my mother over the phone. My mother got me hooked on them as a kid.

61. Do you dance in the car?
Don't have a car. Take trains. And no.

Don't listen to the radio - don't tend to like radio, bad reception in my apartment, and the talk annoys me. I listen to my ipod at work.

My 9 year old niece

This past Sunday - (Unitarian Universalist Church)

65. Who was your favorite teacher in high school?
Everett Reese - English, and Mr. Brewster - Honors American Government

66. What is the longest you have ever camped out in a tent?
5 days in Bandlier National Park - New Mexico. Once we had to fend off monster Racoons. They were huge.
