So when it comes to ISBN numbers...which choice is best?

My aim is worry free, send to offline and online sellers. And to academic and library channels. I don't really want to format it for various digital distribution channels.
But, am I hurting myself by choosing the Free Create Space ISBN? Can I, if I choose, just buy a new one at a later date -- if I want to republish the book through other channels?

[Poll #2005878]

I wonder if traditional publishing is this headache inducing. Probably is, just a bit different.

Yeah. I'm leaning towards the free one - because I really want distribution to Academic and Libraries through Baker & Taylor. I know too many people who only read library books.

Also...truth is, you can always set up a new ISBN - in fact you sort of have to if you have a new publisher pick it up.
