Oh, the yard your describing is the yards I see in a city. Although, in
many cases they have gardens and grass, with a tiny cement paved patio for
garbage cans or bikes. My brother uses his garage which is in the barn for
the bike and garbage can storage. In the suburbs -- we have grassy yards
with flowers and trees, with the bikes in the garage. But in cities --
yeah yards are often ugly cement things, unless the building has a basement
(which mine does) and the garbage cans, bikes, etc are kept there. Bikes in
the apartments or hallway out of the way. The yard in front of my apartment
building in the city is grass and willow trees. These pictures were taken
in rural upstate NY, where the nearest city is about thirty - forty-five
minutes away.
