shadowkat: (Tv shows)
Vamp Diaries is just cheesy fun. Granted it has slow smulchy romantic bits...but they don't last that long.

Warning: I'm being a little snarky within this post. This can rub some folks the wrong way. Please take it in the light-hearted spirit it's meant. Part of my enjoyment of Vamp Diaries is making fun of it and being critical of it. And I like to be critical of tv shows I enjoy. It's fun for me. Back when Buffy was on - I used to meet a friend for dinner once a week and we'd rip the show's plot apart over sushi. Anywho if this sort of thing makes you see red or rubs you the wrong way - just skip. I'd get annoyed if someone ripped The Good Wife apart in the same manner.

So, now that February sweeps are over, we are on hiatus until April - so that everyone can watch the College Basketball Playoffs on ESPN. Making March an annoying month. Not my favorite month March. If I had money and time - I'd take off somewhere at the start of it - spend my birthday someplace exotic like Costa Rica or South Africa or Aruba.

I wonder if they have sweeps in February because it is a short month?

Probably shouldn't have deleted all those episodes of Breaking Bad - would have given myself something to watch. Oh well, I do still have Smallville/Nikita/Supernatural episodes saved up and March is going to be rather busy - working on synopsis, query letters, work is busier than ever (many fires erupted today that I had to fan down, Lucas wasn't the only one ablaze), hunting flat, church activities and social justice activities galore...busy, busy, busy. Plus not everything goes on hiatus - Being Erica just started as did the well-written and highly entertaining Justified (I'm in love with Timothy Olyphant). And there's The Good Wife - which I think also just went on hiatus for two weeks, dang it. Although complaining about hiatus in this day and age is sort of weird - since, we have our pick of new shows that take advantage of the old ones taking a rest. Also the net, netflix, etc. The information age really has changed how we view and access entertainment, hasn't it?
