After the flurry of activity this week, and the increasing stress (in part work related), lack of sleep and a touch of food poisoning on Thursday...which is not quite, but almost out of my system, I'm ready to crash. Feel exhausted. Good thing I can't go anywhere. Got quite the workout at 8am this morning - walked five blocks to the hardware store, picked up masking tape (spent ten-fifteen minutes trying to figure out if I should buy blue masking tape or regular tape), walked six blocks to the Rite Aid and got bags, a magazine, and tissues. Walked another five blocks to discount store - where I ran into a couple from Portland, Oregon visiting their daughter, they were buying tape too, I was buying containers (which are almost impossible to find, Momster forgets I live in a city not the suburbs - with a big Home Depot or Costco). Then back five blocks to pick up yet another gallon of water, cereal, and lots of drinks. (I have five jugs of water in my bathroom to flush the toilet with. Been advised by the Momster to fill bathtube and sinks tonight with water before going to bed. And fill zip-lock bags with water and put them in the freezer. Kidbro accused the Momster of watching too much television. LOL! He's on a side of a mountain up in Beacon, all he has to worry about is his place out on Fire Island - which he co-owns.) And lugged the whole thing ten blocks to my apartment, and up three flights up the steps. (I might lose weight - getting quite the workout, just shopping.)

Well, I managed to get the wrong batteries for my alarm clock and cd-player/radio alarm clock (not that I could find them anyhow.) But do have extra batteries for two flashlights, one that can be packed and go, one that's a bit larger. Largest - doesn't need a new one yet. Also new pocket am/fm radio has plenty of batteries. Bought I few that don't appear to fit to anything (because I miscalculated). I'm hoping no power outages, but you can never tell. Also have candles. Truth is most of things I have

I fine on water at least.

Have stopped watching the news, which was stressing me out.

Oh, if you don't have containers - use zip lock bags, fill them with tap water and put them in your fridge, if they freeze, will keep things colder longer. And can be used as drinking water, etc.

Am hoping this all a tempest in a teapot. But even if it is - will take MASS TRANSIT a full day at least to get the system moving again.
