May. 10th, 2015 09:18 amHave decided to take a break from the book promoting. It's not quite fully out yet anyhow. Was obsessing over it this week.
Caught up on some television over the weekend.
*Call The Midwife continues to be a heartwarming pleasure. Wish there were more series like this out there.
*Gotham -- not your parents Batman, or your kids for that matter. It's for one thing a heck of a lot darker. The story is not following the canon. And the characters are a bit more complex. But it is by far the best version of a graphic novel on television that I've seen to date. (I always liked the darker, more noir, subversive, superhero comics - the bubblegum comic books were fun but sort of predictable. ie. I liked the Dark Knight Rises more than Spiderman. So it's hardly surprising that I find Gotham more compelling than Marvel Agents of Shield (which is sort of predictable and silly.) )
*Nashville - the music continues to be better than the script. I mainly watch for the music.
*Grey's Anatomy -- last week's episode was better. Strange, it doesn't quite feel like an entire year has passed. Also they appear to have run out of things to do with Owen. That character has been drifting for a while now.
* Vampire Diaries - ( spoilers )
