Completely Mindless, somewhat lame, spontaneous fandom pop culture war poll

So here's my completely mindless and spontaneous pop culture fandom war poll. The questions pertain to wars that I've seen on fan boards and live journal posts since 2002. I could only post 15 questions. So that left out a few cool ones. All the questions - I've seen heated discussions about online, believe it or not, that's why they came to mind. I mean a couple of people really hate or love some of these choices with a PASSION, almost as if their very lives depended on it. Also, you have to make a choice, no, indecisive wish-washy - oh I love everyone. Because what's the fun in that? You can skip questions of course. Outside of that? No real rules.

And since I posted it, I'll take it too. Although, you probably can already guess most of my answers. ;-) (ETA: on the last question - I wavered. I like both, and I read one more than the one I picked, at least recently, but that's mostly because the other requires too much brain-power, and I'm mentally drained at the moment.)

That was fun! I answered the ones I had an opinion on, others I left blank because I didn't feel the need to decide or couldn't decide (I can't pick a Star Trek, they all had their fine points, characters).

I prefer canon to non-canon unless I don't feel the need for it to be canon. Not all fic for example needs to be canon ::loves IU:: but it is nice when it can line up. I consider the Buffy comics canon, but I also considered S6 on the board and what Masq is doing with Connor canon too. It works for me. I don't get canon ship wars because I am good with for example, Buffy getting Spike, getting Angel, whoever. Good for her.

I like Babylon 5 quite a bit, but I don't think it is as 'rewatchable' (for me) as DS9 so the latter got my vote.
And I've only watched two episodes of Supernatural so I don't know the brother's names... or characters.

I do love fantasy, and I loved that magic beat science at the end of Buffy's season 4.... but I voted for sci-fi because I'm basically more likely to give the sci-fi a fair chance (sticking to watching more episodes, going to the movies).

It certainly looks like the people on your flist are Spike fans! LOL

Star Wars started out well, but only two of the six movies do anything for me.

Star Trek only took off because it was the only game in town at the time. It improved a lot on TV after NG began, as Roddenbury was eased out of the picture. The first movie really stank, but at least half of the rest of them are fun to watch.

I see Buffy/Spike is winning. I guess people really love to watch painful relationships. LOL

I don't watch Supernatural so I picked the first name...

Looks like I'm in the minority when it comes to BSG (I picked Sharon/Boomer and of course Sharon/Helo) and the Beatles/Stones !
