This may or may not be stating the obvious, but it occurs to me that what is obvious to me may not be for anyone else.

I delete entries because often upon re-reading, I suddenly realize that what I wrote can be interpreted in a way that I never in a million years intended. Often in a way that makes me feel like a complete troll after I've re-read it.( This happened to me a lot on discussion boards, where I couldn't delete, and often spent several hours stressing over the responses I'd get. The nice thing about BC&S board was it was busy and never archived, so I knew the post would be gone within a few hours. ATPO? It was there forever...unless the board master and mama took pity on me or felt it was spoilery or nasty enough to warrant deletion (ie - caused an ensuing flame war that crashed the board - which actually seldom if ever happened.))

Does anyone else do or feel like this, I wonder?

I don't remember deleting any of your posts, but [livejournal.com profile] rahael's, more than once! I have been tempted a few times to delete my own comments when I realized they implied something very different from what I meant, but often they get replied to before I get a chance to delete, and more often than not, I just end up making a clarification.

As far as I remember...you didn't. Course, I never asked, because didn't really know how and my posts never caused a flame war possibly because I would just disappear whenever things got too heated, much to the annoyance of a quite few posters, I'm certain. Sort of hard to argue with silence.

The only time I remember you deleting an entire thread - which I wasn't a part of - was an anti-Marti Noxon thread because it threatened to crash the board and was ripe with spoilers. (I think that's how you got spoiled regarding Tara's death...)

I got spoiled for Tara's death when I had to change the subject line of a post that had that as the subject line. Ack, ack. The only entire thread I ever remember removing was a heated thread started by a passing troll. I regretted doing so, and after that, I let people turn those threads into mini-parties and just shoved them off into the archives when they got too long.
