May. 30th, 2010 06:21 pmWell, I apparently have mice now. Saw the droppings and the chew marks on three things - my recycling bag, and a cracker bag that was sitting out, as well as a candy bar. Haven't seen them yet - knock on wood. Not really afraid of mice. Nor do they gross me out like roaches do. But I may be allergic and this could explain the heightened allergy issues this season.
How do you get rid of mice? Sent email to landlord - to request help.
Last night finished watching the five episodes of Friday Night Lights that I had saved to DVR. This is an excellent television series by the way. Flawless this year. At least so far. Tight in plot, characterization, and theme. Also a good and realistic depiction of class, race, and gender issues in suburban Texas. This season of FNL is actually the best to date.
Now watching marathon of Flashforward and I'm already bored. This show definitely focused on the wrong characters, and seems to go all over the place. It's hard for me to care that much about anyone for very long and I find myself wandering off to do something else during it - in this case - clean up mouse droppings.
CW and I are contemplating going kayaking this summer. There's free kayaking at Chelsea Piers and in Brooklyn. But first need to buy new shorts and a swimsuit. Going to try Lands-end per CW's suggestion. She also suggests Lane Bryant for jeans - they actually have jeans for all female body types - not just for women who are are thin and small, like *cough*CalvinKLein*cough* and the Gap.

Date: 2010-05-31 03:57 pm (UTC)Landlord does have another option - an electronic mouse awayer - which we're going to try. They are basically just in the kitchen.
He thinks he's found an option that does not involve me picking up dead mice around my apartment - which all your options above seem to involve, even the one with the cat. And much prefer to have mice than rats...rats are just gross.
