Oooh...I like this:

It's not work safe, though.

Particularly the last sentence - please, can we have that one now? (Really want a good national health care plan and six weeks of paid vacation - that's what the Europeans have.)

Although...for the funny...I think this link is even better:

I almost hurt myself. It's for anyone who has ever received or posted a comment on the internet.

Oddly enough, Bill Maher had a piece on internet commenting as well in that show but it wasn't as funny as the Donner Party. If you have a chance to see the entire show it's well worth watching with guests like Anthony Bourdain and Neil deGrasse Tyson.

It's on again at 7PM.

IMO, comments to God weren't scathing and rude enough to be indicative of genuine internet comments. Plus, there needs to be at least one kerfuffle between the commentators, that spirals downward to a reference to Hitler.

I think it was meant to be a satire on blog posts not fan discussion boards.;-)

(Although I've admittedly gotten what you've stated above in response to blog posts...clearly the writer isn't in a tv fandom.)

Oh, I didn't mean fan posts at all. I mean political bloggers, articles in the newspaper that allow comments, that sort of thing. That's what you see in those comments. I can't read them anymore.

Ah, true. I avoid them myself. Actually I try to avoid discussing politics on the internet - because I can't separate my emotions from it and have a tendency to rant or get didatic. (the Tea Party makes me see Red.)
