shadowkatUpon reading flist's take on the recent spoilers in the Buffy S9 comics, my immediate reaction was..wait, does herself_nyc know that Whedon stole her idea?
Apparently Buffy is pregnant and going to lose an arm in the Buffy comics.
Which has actually been done before, albeit slightly differently, in a series of fanfic novellas by herself_nyc way back in 2002-2003. Buffy lost her arm or lleg (can't remember which) and got a prosthetic. She also got pregnant with Spike's kid but by time travel (so at least that's different) and it happened aduring Season 6 (so that's different).
Gee, original ideas...hard to come by. But always new ways of telling the same old stories.
