1. In work communications hell. You know that Abbott and Costello routine
who's on first, what's on second...something like that except by emai. I swear male railroad engineers shouldn't be permitted to communicate by email. They do not have the patience for it. Also they complicate things while insisting they are simplifying, it's irritating.
2. It occurs to me that if I clocked 7 hours of sleep each night as opposed to 5-6 hrs, I'd be far less cranky.
3. Turned out to be a lovely day to wander around Rufus King Park - big park for a city park. With grass. Big trees. A house (Rufus King's house - he was Martin Luther King, Jr's brother). Gardens. Playground. And benches. See, Jamaica, Queens isn't all that bad. And yes, I work in NYC - just on Long Island not Manhattan...which confuses non-natives and people who don't know life exists outside Manhattan, but what can you do?
4. Female writer meme is depressing me. So for that matter is Mark Watches...I think I read the latter for the same reason I feel compelled to eat that last piece of chocolat sitting in the kitchen, even if I know it's bad for me and I don't even like that type of chocolat...(Donut works better as analogy, but since I can't eat them...)
Back to annoying myself at work...oh, well, music helps. Listening to Alternative Indie and Alternative Punk mixes today, with Feist, Florence and the Machine, amongs others..

Date: 2012-02-18 12:53 am (UTC)This bugs me actually. When people ignore their comments completely.
There's no interaction. And when they have other's moderate their journal.
I was thinking about it today...
It feels very narcissitic...you aren't really sharing your opinion or seeing how others think. You are telling them your view, and getting off on how they react to you, but staying above them all. Like the Queen in Snow White looking in the mirror and asking who the fairest is of them all...
I may be wrong, he may be responding. But it is a problem I have with people who professionally blog. We interact. We share. We change each other's minds. We correspond. We discuss. While they appear to be sitting on soap-boxes giving lectures to choirs and getting paid for it.

And his blog seems a little too dramatic for my tastes.
