Apparently there's an app for MyFitnessPal that I need to figure out. Since I don't use it on my computer. I suck at tracking things personally - which may or may not be work related. That was my problem with Weight Watchers...I lacked the discipline to track things.

Also have decided that I'm addicted to sweets...as in york peppermint patties, chocolate, ice cream, and wine. Must stop. It's not good for me. Broke my promise to myself today and bought chocolate (RitterSport coconut/milk chocolate bar), Talenti's chocolate and Caribbean Coconut Gelato Bars, wine and Jenni's Chamoile ice creame. Ate a quarter of the chocolate, one Talenti Bar, and two glasses of wine. I never going to lose weight at this rate.

Frustration and depression lead to eating/craving the wrong things and making the whole thing even worse.

Plus increased irritability. Sugar is indeed the root of all evil. Unfortunately it's also more addictive than crack. Not that I would know...never done crack. Have enough issues with being wired.

I've been doing MyFitnessPal for about 8 months. Have lost 40+lbs.

I don't do it at the default settings though. You can customize it to whatever settings you want (I have my carbs set at 103 grams and calculated my protein by figuring out what I should weigh and multiplying it by .7 to find I'm supposed to have something like 115g protein (not that I ever manage to eat that much protein. I refuse to resort to protein powder or protein bars. If I can't get it eating food, then I figure I don't need it.) I do let MFP figure out my target calories though . Currently I'm supposed to have 1640 per day if I don't exercise. (When you exercise you are given extra calories)

Ack.

There must be an easier way?

I suspect that if there were a simple solution, someone would've gotten rich off of it by now. :)

I tend to think you have to play around a little and see what works for your own body. Something like MFP is helpful inasmuch as it actually tracks so many things and provides info (plus... it's free, so there's that. :)
