It's certainly ironic that the singers from that show that have gone on the biggest amount of applause, with the exception of Carrie Underwood (who I think had a singing career in place prior to Idol but hadn't gotten picked up) - were not the winners.
Also excepting Kelly Clarkson. She's doing pretty well, careerwise. The other winners, not as well...
Yeah, but the woman's voice makes me cringe in the same way that Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Clay Aiken's do. Just not a fan of pop, I'm afraid. Every time I hear it in malls, it's like it won't let go of me and I want to pull my hair out, specialists in bad earworm/muzac songs..."oops I did it again".
